Les Myrtilles for
“La Corrispondenza” by Giuseppe Tornatore
Les Myrtilles is proud to announce its contribution to the prestigious film production “La corrispondenza” by Giuseppe Tornatore. The school uniform worn by the children and by the young protagonist were supplied by Les Myrtilles, the Italian company that manufactures exclusive school uniforms.
“It was a great honour to be able to collaborate in such an extraordinary project, from one of the best Italian film directors of all time” proudly declares Mariateresa Giussani, CEO and Founder of Les Myrtilles. This project takes Les Myrtilles’ uniforms in movie theatres all over the world.
Les Myrtilles, founded 2002, established itself as one of the leaders in manufacturing cashmere for baby’s clothes. The turning point came in 2005: Les Myrtilles started producing school uniforms and a new brand was established: SCHOOL UNIFORMS. School Uniforms is an ambitious project: it aims to extend the great British tradition of school uniforms to Italy, with its intrinsic value of a sense of identity and belonging. This has proved to be a winning bet, as the best Italian and International Colleges and Istituti Scolastici have chosen Les Myrtilles’ school uniforms for their students, such as Andersen International School, The British School of Milan and Collegio della Guastalla.
Today many are the prestigious schools that have appointed SCHOOL UNIFORMS as their uniform supplier and next May Les Myrtilles will be opening a new shop in Via Gesu’ in Milan, in the heart of the Milan fashion district in order to meet the increasing demand from new schools. The new shop in Milan will offer an elegant and exclusive environment where to see and buy the collections.
Les Myrtilles is also proud and honoured to be able to increase its partnership with Fiori di Lavanda Onlus, an Italian charity established in 2010 to fund research into childhood leukaemia. A proportion of the sales of the cashmere products by Les Myrtilles will be allocated to supporting this noble cause.
